May - June 2010 Dear Cyber Friends, Greetings once again from the Crossroads of the World. You are such a vital part of this ministry through your prayers and gifts. Thank you for the faithfulness that you have shown in difficult times. Since our last report the Lord has blessed in such wonderful ways. In Suntracs, Izamar, a recent high school graduate, finally dealt with a struggle that had lasted for many years. She had been dealt with as a young girl about salvation. Over the years she began to realize that she had not really experienced the change she had seen in others and had heard so much about during testimonies. During a recent trip with the family to their farm, she finally got to the point where she was willing to deal with it. She spoke with her older brother, David who carefully explained the plan of salvation once again. When they returned from their trip, she asked to speak with Cricket. During their conversation, she gave a very clear testimony of her salvation. The doubts were gone; the security was there. Izamar knew that her next step was baptism. Though nervous and concerned about what others might think, she readily consented to being baptized. It was a rare Wednesday night baptismal, but it was a great blessing to us and the church. Please pray for her growth in knowledge and grace as she serves the Lord with a new attitude and love. Maranatha Baptist in Veracruz continues to mature. It has been amazing watching the children mature into teens and the teens into adults taking on the responsibility of the work. Please continue to pray for the transition of Darío into the leadership of this work. We just completed a short but needed furlough. The Lord blessed as we traveled over ten thousand miles in just under three months. We were able to meet new pastors of faithful supporting churches. It was a blessing to see that the vision for missions continues to grow. Thanks to a very special love offering from our sending church, a much needed computer for Darío’s daughter will be purchased soon for her school work. The work in Suntracs needs some special attention at this time. Please be in prayer for the men in leadership and for the needed unity among them for the work of the church. We are also gearing up once again for our national’s pastor retreat. Each year we try to make this inspirational and practical for the national pastors and missionaries. There is always cost in involved to do it right. For a national pastor and his wife to attend there are transportation costs as well as the fees for housing and meals. We would ask you to pray for this upcoming meeting in August and if possible, to consider a financial gift to help defray the expenses. As always, we thank the Lord for you and our joint effort to reach Panama for the Lord. May the richest of the Lord’s blessings be yours continually. Love and Prayers, Dan & Cricket Young |
